The Ferson residence has a panoramic view that deserves capturing. Eco Minded Solutions created a space to complement the home and environment while maximizing the ample space to enjoy the spectacular Encinitas sunsets.
The project included a spacious deck, a naturalistic flagstone patio, fire feature, and new lush planting.
Two types of flagstone patios were introduced to this Encinitas landscape. A mortared flagstone patio is the more formal of the two, set on a concrete base for formal dining, cooking, and entertaining.
Our landscape construction contractors built this design so that as one emerges into the yard, a loose flagstone patio mortared with sand and mossy plantings serves as a tranquil transition to the deck that stretches out over the canyon.
A custom fire feature provides ambient lighting and warmth to this outdoor space. The flagstone material used for the patio is repeated in the fire feature cap. The siding material is a complementary ledge stone veneer. A gas-powered stream of fire dances atop a bed of lava rocks.
Plantings of contrasting color provide a lush backdrop to the perimeter of this site. Their structure and size are appropriate for the space, and help in creating an outdoor room.
