Mid Century Open Floor Plan With View Deck

There is so much to say about this beautiful La Jolla project. We created this extraordinary custom space for raising a newborn child and entertaining guests. We’re proud of the transitional space that was created by fully updating the interior & exterior of this home.

To accomplish this whole home remodel in San Diego, we dismantled the existing structure down to the studs and started with an entirely new construction for a full redesign.

Later in the project, we created a custom San Diego landscape design to create greater views and expand the usable space of this multi-dimensional property. There are so many elements to admire in this landscape, but the unique transitional design style and view deck take the center stage.

The exterior is Santa Barbara stucco accented by a grand slack stone threshold. We improved upon the natural curb appeal by creating a lighted entryway with a new stainless steel mailbox on wood slats. The home is surrounded with drought tolerant landscaping techniques to sustain that gorgeous first impression for many years to come.

This modern architecture style places an emphasis on variations of glass, a predominantly white palette, straight lines, geometric shapes, and grounding dark colored woods. For the opulent living room, we chose accordion doors with complementary trapezoidal windows. This one-of-a-kind trendsetting accent is a trademark originated in Mid-Century design.

In the kitchen remodel; we showcase marble counter tops, hardwood floors, and a conveniently located wine refrigerator for evening entertainment. This deluxe kitchen, equipped with new energy efficient appliances, transitions seamlessly into the extra large great room grounded by a dark-night-porcelain slab custom fireplace.

Quartz counter tops in one lustrous bathroom and porcelain in the other creates a luxurious tone at every turn of this gorgeous residence. For an added luxury feel, we included a Jacuzzi and glass shower with rain shower head next to the tub in the master bedroom suite.

Outdoors, the wooden view deck served a dual purpose as it was constructed over the canyon to gain extra square footage, while providing a destination style seating area.  The concrete patio is made of seated aggregate concrete which has pebbles embedded in the design for added texture.

Additional accents, such as the resurfaced pool, new decking, new outdoor shower, and new plantings really upped the ante in this modern retreat. We took the opportunity to not only beautify but to correct functional drainage issues towards the house.

This uncommon treasure is a living tribute to the advantages of custom-made spaces where anything is possible.
