For this Encinitas project, we combined the couple’s sophisticated style with our landscaping expertise to create a leisurely entertainment area.
The homeowners envisioned this landscape design to be as low-maintenance as it was handsome. Now they will savor years of relaxation here while enjoying outdoor activities for adults and grandkids alike.
They were particularly excited to take ownership of the smaller details such as furnishings and accents. We gladly welcome the wholehearted involvement of clients that want to add their signature flavor to the mix with a color palette of reds, blacks, and silver. These art connoisseurs truly appreciated the ability to hand select special nostalgic accessories to perfect their vintage vision.
Detailed accents bring this backyard to life with wall, path, and step lighting to create an ambient atmosphere. Mexican beach pebbles frame the turf and square walkway steps in this minimalist contemporary design.
The custom outdoor water and fire features are strategically placed focal points in this outdoor great room. These are both placed prominently within the first line of sight upon entering the home and are visible from almost every room. The relaxing flow of the fountain can be adjusted to a quieter trickle and the wave-like fire table can warm the lounge area on cold San Diego evenings.
This landscape is low maintenance with a centralized turf field, ideal for children’s play. In surrounding flower beds; coral agave, flamenco red hot poker, brakelights red yucca, and red sister ti add scarlet hues to compliment the modern accessories. The client didn’t have to sacrifice gregarious colors to obtain a low maintenance landscape.
