This luxurious Rancho Santa Fe home received a full outdoor makeover to match the elegance of its exterior. The new landscape architecture redesign stretches from the street and extends all the way to the back property line.
New small gravel substrates offer a great variety of texture to the to shredded bark mulch bordering the home and driveway. Drought-tolerant plants pop against this canvas of golden gravel. The plants frame the entryway courtyard to create a dramatic entrance.
The backyard was transformed into a large outdoor living space with spacious patios including a pool and spa, custom fire features, and an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Natural materials compliment the style of the home and contrast beautifully with the golf course in the background.
A custom backyard kitchen provides ample counter space for seating and food preparation.
The homeowners and their guests can enjoy the space long into the night in the dining area or around one of the two custom fire pits. Soft golden lighting and the dancing flames create a warm, inviting glow in the evenings.
Our landscape designers added sporadic plantings to the bark mulch spaced along the gently sloping boarder of the backyard. These low-water plants will slowly grow to cover the ground in time, controlling erosion and adding life and beauty to this easily forgotten space.
