A Second-Story Addition: Twice as Nice
Situated just off the coast, a remarkable second-story home addition recently transformed a modest single-story home into a stunning two-story residence. The vision was to extend the living space vertically without compromising the original footprint of the home. This allowed for an additional floor of living space that not only provided more room for the family but also offered sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. The design maintained the home’s original charm while integrating modern elements to enhance comfort and functionality.
Simultaneously, a comprehensive landscape design and remodeling project was undertaken to echo the home’s transformation. Emphasizing the natural beauty of the Californian coastal landscape, the project incorporated native plants and sustainable practices. The result was a serene outdoor space, harmoniously blending with the house and surrounding environment.
